FAQ *Will I Have to Pay for Tax or Customs on My Order? This is often a long and confusing answer that differs from country to country so i would advise you to seek clarification from your local mail provider or government authority. However,Etsy offer’s some general advice….. When a package ships internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country. Depending on the country, the buyer may be required to pay these charges at the time of delivery, or Etsy may be required to collect the tax at checkout and remit it to the tax authorities. There are two types of taxes charged when goods are imported into a country: customs fees and VAT (or similar tax). In general, the buyer is responsible for paying the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. In some countries, Etsy is obligated to collect those as VAT on imported goods and to pay this over to the tax authorities Most customs charges are due once the package arrives in the destination country. The amounts can vary widely and are often based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country. If a buyer and a seller are located in different countries, we inform buyers that additional duties and taxes (such as those charged at customs) may apply. This is to make it clear to buyers that they may be responsible for paying these additional fees.
As of January 1, 2021, the UK requires Etsy to collect and remit VAT on applicable goods from buyers on orders that meet the following criteria: * purchase is for a physical item. *The recipient is located in the UK. *The total value of the package (including gift wrap but excluding delivery) is less than or equal to £135. *VAT is applied to the full order total, which includes item price, shipping, and gift wrap charges. *The goods are dispatched from outside the UK.* If you’re in a country where Etsy is collecting VAT, your cart details will show this along with the item price, shipping costs, and any additional add-ons such as gift wrap at checkout. Customs decalaration It is the seller’s responsibility to correctly complete the appropriate customs declaration forms and shipping labels. This is a legal requirement. It will ensure transaparency at border controls and help to ensure a smooth delivery of your order. Please check with your local delivery provider if there is a ’Handling fee’ charged from parcels imported from outside your country. The seller cannot be held resonsible for this.
*Do you offer wholesale or trade prices? I do not offer wholesale or trade prices. However,I may be able to offer a small discount on large orders in some circumstances.
So how does custom designing work? For me, An Equus Spirit Jewellery custom design is a compilation of the customers thoughts , ideas and wishes which are supported by my take on design and available components. Some people know exactly what they want, That’s great ! I’ll do my best to replicate their idea and budget. Others may have a theme or even a favourite colour or stone that they wish for… Well that’s a good starting point….. ….From here I usually create a design board. I include photos of various stones, Beads and other components that I can source. I group them together to give us an idea of how things could look. I offer a guide to pricing,Turn around time and can also advise on the healing properties of any stones used (if requested). You are not limited to just one design board. For example: Customer:” I’m looking for a blue browband” What tone of blue? Turquoise blue? Midnight blue? Baby blue? What shape of beads? Even and uniformed rounds or rustic nuggets and pebbles? Would you like the stones/beads to hold a meaning/healing property? Bling or matte? Single strand? Double strand? Straight? V shaped? English? Western?....... My list of questions would probably exhaust even the most patient! This is where the design board comes in handy. It gives us a clear visual guide to how different pieces fit, work and blend together. It’s especially helpful if you are not familiar with what is available to use. After all, There is an infinite number of colour and component combinations. This can work both ways too. By all means draw me a diagram or share photos of what you are thinking of. It all helps to focus on the final design.….. Once we have chosen colours and stones etc I then put together an actual draft design and will send you photos. From here, we liaise and adjust the design to suit. Adding or taking away certain components, Moving colours around etc. At this stage it is no problem to order in alternatives and to keep ‘jiggling’ away with the design until you are 100% satisfied. Quite often the finished design is very different from the original concept and that surprises many of my customers. It is as if the piece evolves.A custom design can take a few days to complete or a few weeks. This depends on where I can source the components needed to create. I do not charge extra for my custom design service. In most cases i do not even request a deposit up front. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a design idea brewing!
